Dear parents,

Please note that after the unit on Subtraction Within 10, we will move on to do Shapes & Patterns (in Workbook 1A Part 2).

I will be returning the Maths Workbook 1A Part 1 for the students to revise for the upcoming Topical Test 2 on 6 March (Wednesday) by this week.

Your child does not need to bring the Maths Workbook 1A Part 1 to school. I will collect the book again in Week 1 of Term 2. Please help ensure that your child does not lost his/her book.

In Term 2 , we will be covering the following topics :

1. Numbers to 10
2. Numbers  to 20
3. Addition within 20

4. Subtraction Within 20
5. Length

Regards,

Most of the pupils are well prepared for the weekly spelling exercise.
However a few are struggling. Learning spelling can be a chore to some pupils but it is an important practice as it contibutes to their writing skills.

Attached is a website which you may find helpful.I used it and tried it last year when my 5 year daughter came back from her school with 5 words she needed to spell. She prefer this TRACE - COPY -RECALL method compared to just repeat writing the words. Try it and seee it works wih your child.

Do encourage your child for his/her effort even if they did not score full marks.
Your support and encouragement will surely motivate them to do even better.
