On 10 Feb 2014 , our class went on a learning journey to the National Orchid Gardens. It was a first visit for many of the students. This learning journey is part of our field based learning in Social Studies. Our first stop was the VIP garden where many of the orchids in this part of the the garden were named after famous people from all over the world. Next stop was the Mist house and Coolhouse. In the coolhouse, we experienced a different climate. Here we learn how different plants adapt to the cool climate.
The children also saw what a sun dial looked like. It was an enriching trip for one and all.
Thanks to Mrs Yip( Jovis'mum) and Cloud & Rain's mum who came along with the class as parent volunteers.
